That's the sensor bought now got the 0204 as recommended. Hopefully resolve the engine management issue

I'm not 100% the way I would describe it imagine something with grooves similar if you tore apart a sheet of card board

Now imagine it being next to the pedal and pushing the pedal down along the grooves

Its a pretty bad example TBH but that's what I imagine it to be like when I push down its like small soft quick vibrations

I'm going to take my friend out in it after we fix the sensor

Good news is the leak in the roof was t a leak just a blocked drain so I fixed that up (roofs a bit tatty)

What's the best product to restore the roof as I spent a lot of time on the paintwork getting it back to high gloss but roof defo lets the car down any tips

Once I get the sensor out up take a pic and post it here for the precat(if I'm right in thinking I remove the sensor and il see the matrix inside of its not flat and it's warped I need to get that precat out?)

What's the easiest option the manifold from eBay as posted above? Or smashing them out?

Opening a massive can of worms for this one mate  s:) :) s:)  you will get loads of different responses. I would suggest a search for both of these questions.

1) there are a few oil specialists on here that have there recommendations.

2) Tyre pressure depends on tyres majority of the time.

Sounds like you're on the right track Kyle.
Good stuff!

EBay manifold is the easier solution as it means you don't have to mess with gutting the pre-cats and cleaning up.

Halfords 5w30 is absolutely fine. Better Halfords oil frequently than expensive performance oil infrequently.

Toyota's own oil 5w30 is absolutely grand as well, available from your local Toyota dealer.
The likes of Fuchs Titan Pro R 5w40 is a treat for the engine, it does like it. But costs a fair bit.

Tyre pressures do indeed depend per tyre but are usually around 28 fronts and 32 rears. But as you said, it really comes down to the psi to hit the sweet spot and that depends on the tyre

Perfect

I recon il just get the manifold if it's a common issue I might Aswell just get it done right

Il test the oil before I head out tonight and il get myself some halfords at least initially don't want to buy expensive if it's going through a lot of oil and there is an issue

Il check the recommended tyre pressures on the tyres there toyo tyres all round need the check the specifics though

Iv noticed a lot of folks have black headlights inside the plastic but mine are like shiny silver are these modified or are these just different lights iv tried searching but can't find anything on eBay or here? What's the solution if any

That will be different depending on what year your car is.

Pre 2003, known as PreFacelift has black headlights, different rear lights, different front and rear bumpers, different bracing.
Post 20013 is known as Facelift and received a refresh.

If yours is pre2003 with the facelift headlights, there is a good chance that the previous owner modified these. As they are not simple interchangeable items that a normal place would do if it was just a replacement.

Mine is 2003 so I have silver ones

Since my car is black I think the black on black would look great since I have black alloys Aswell seen a set of black one on eBay for 50 buck at the moment might get biddin

Tried to remove that heat shield tonight man he's stuck on there nearly broke my wrist using the wrench guess il give it some greasing and come back tomorrow managed to get the guy from 120 to 105 for the manifold Aswell

Couple weeks of work will be spent doing this(might get someone else to just do it for me il wind up  sfuck fuck sfuck ing something up. I doubt haha)

Good times

Those heat shields are a menace!! Get PlusGas on there, much better than WD40. But more than likely, most people end up having to take a grinder to it. Have fun!!  s:) :) s:)

Yes, I prefer the black headlights, the silver ones are quite blingy.

Got the top screws out didn't realise there was a 3rd is that an underneath job? Looks like it

Might be a silly question I unplugged both my o2 sensors as I thought there was only the two screws to remove and I put them back in after I realised there was 3 screws

My question is can they go in the wrong way as in upside down as iv noticed significant fuel usage since taking them out and plugging in? Might be wrong but it dropped pretty fast

Defo getting black ones went and bid on it

Got the head shield off and replaced the sensor precat had a small dent in one of the matrix holes but manifold is ordered so that'll get sorted next week

So I nownfor my next dilemma, I took of hears girls unplugged both sensors , unscrewed bank 2 replaced bank 2 and plugged both back in

Engine light is still on

Should it auto rectify itself? Or do I need to reset it? If so what's the easiest way?

I plan on keeping the heat Sheild off

Is there any cons to this?

You need to reset the codes or the entire ECU.
Easiest way is to use a 10mm spanner to undo the bolt on the left of the negative (black) battery terminal and remove the wire for 20-30 minutes.

Lots run without the heat shield. I've opted to heat-wrap my manifold. Wouldn't worry

Very rusty physics but the idea is to keep the exhaust gasses hot and the intake gasses cool so the heat shields try to do both.
You won't notice any difference, but if you are really serious then re-locate the air intake and wrap the exhaust manifold. Probably only easy if you have swapped to a stainless tubular one.
Ex.MR2 SMT sadly missed.

But then we had another discussion about wrapping the manifold and that making the exhaust too hot hehe.. Can't win

Maybe just only wrap half of it then   s:lol:  s:lol:
