Which switch will work?

I want to change the wiring on my front lights, I have spots I fitted when I had my original PFL headlights. I didn't like coming over the brow of a hill, and not being able to see the road properly. (I do alot of night/early morning driving).
Since I have fitted the FL headlights, the twin-bulb has made this somewhat redundant.
I am planning to re-utilise the spots as fog-lights. It seems quite a simple task, with the already installed wiring and a bit of re-alignment. Cabbydave has given some good pointers on how to do it.
Anyways, I would like to fit the switch in one of the two blanks on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. So, finally, anyone know which switch I need, or what size I am looking for?
I have seen some on Fleabay, but they seem to be rear-fog switches (red, not green) from earlier models, and I'm not sure they will fit the aperture...

Many thanks  s:D :D s:D

If you haven't already you could repurpose your passenger window lock switch for it.
Also there is an fog switch on some , that looks like older switches with pointy corners that does also fit in a missmatched way.

Personally id get another window or door lock switch , and if fussy paint or sticker it.

Thanks for the idea, but not entirely sure whether that would work...
From memory, there has to be a warning light for the fog lights?

Rear fog definitely needs a telltale, I think the testing update a few years ago only updated to 'lights fitted must work'
The best person to ask would be whoever does your mots.

wiring small bulb or panel lamp is easy enough, but still effort.
just seen this one that does match the mr2  mk3 OK -  w www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111856820650 w ?

Thanks, definitely a plan that will work. How are they switched on FL's? I assume it's on the lighting stalk?

Hal frauds do one with a light on indicator which fits quite nicely in the coin holder slot. Used one for my aerial mod but didn't bother wiring up the light. Think it was  less than a fiver.

Excellent, thanks. I don't have a coin holder on mine... whereabouts is it? I have two blanks to the left of the steering wheel, the mirror control and lock/window buttons etc to the right of the wheel.
I suppose the best bet is to pop out a blank and take it down to Halfrauds some time...

Thanks, the switch looks like a winner. I haven't checked yet, but I believe that most of the wiring is already in place. I just need to fit the switch, and a four pin relay, and change a few connections  s:D :D s:D
