How much for a clutch...?

Hello everybody

Just bought a mk3 that needs a new clutch.

What should I be expecting to pay?

Got a quote off Click Mechanic for £286 all in, any good?

I'm in Worcester but would travel to brum etc.

286 seems like a fair price I'd say. It's mostly labour you're paying for

Mr. T, will probably be a lot more, but a decent mechanic is unlikely to charge more than that.  Providing they don't run into any problems.

As a point of reference I bought my clutch from Toyota fit £160 and had it fitted for another £160...

jvanzyl how long ago did you get a new clutch fitted by Toyota for £320 please as seems a fair price?

Ah right, Toyota didn't fit it! Didn't even bother to ask them for a quote! I got it fitted by Luke and tan at pacific works...

But I got it fitted 350 miles ago.. So about 2 weeks or so?

I will be using pacific works shortly to do a load of work on my 2 so good to hear another recommendation.
