Pfl 2002 Sony audio question

Copied from my newbie intro post (hopefully into correct place):-

Just one wee thing that is annoying me - the dash board clock has the correct time, but the cd/tape/radio unit shows an altogether different time. There is a dearth of manuals that came with the car, although lots of service and repair documentation. I presume that its the stock Sony unit in the car - how the heck do you reset the time on it? I've obviously pressed various buttons and fiddled around, but to no avail, so hopefully someone out there will be able to tell me what a simple job it is.

Taken from the manual for the Sony WX-C570R stereo:
1. Press OFF (or DSPL during operation.)
2. Press DSPL for two seconds and the hour digit will flash
3. Use the rotary knob to set
4. Press SOUND momentarily and the minutes will flash
5. Use the rotary knob to set
6. Press DSPL momentarily and the clock will start
Note that if the POWER SELECT switch on the bottom of the unit is set to position B, the clock cannot be set unless the power is turned on. Set the clock after you have turned on the radio

Thanks for the info - I can confirm it is a Sony WX-C570R unit, but unfortunately pressing DSPL for two (or more) seconds does nothing, whether the power is on or off, whether radio is playing or not.  Wot about if I pulled the fuse for the stereo, then popped it back in at midnight. Hopefully it would show the correct time of 00.00?

OK - its sorted, I pulled the fuse and when it was replaced the stereo shows 01.00  -  so pulled the fuse again, watched a movie and then replaced it at 1.00am before going to bed.  Both dashboard clock and stereo now show the same (correct) time.  Obviously just have to remember to do this each time the clocks go forward or back.

To set time on WX-C570R.  Switch radio off.Press Shift then press Setup. Clock should come up.Press illuminated arrow by Preset.Hour should flash.Alter using Volume control.Press arrow again.Minute should flash.Alter as before. Exit by pressing Shift.
