Power feed

Where is the best place to pick up a power feed, that is only live with the ignition in or near the rear bins?

What's the power feed for ? And where are you placing the electrical item.

Probably going to give away more information than I should, so will be kind of defeating the object but I'm sure everyone on here is trustworthy.    s:D :D s:D  

It is for a GPS tracker and I want to locate it under the rear bins.

I did think about taking a feed from the ECU, but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to start messing around with it.  Is there an obvious wire to pick up the feed from?

The simplest way is to use one of these:-

The fuse box on the passenger side gives the best access and a feed can then be run under the sill capping to the rear bins quite easily. The original circuit isn't disturbed and the new accessory has a correctly rated fuse.

Obviously choose an existing fuse which is only live on ACC. I used one to put a light setup in the glove box.

Just remember to actually put two fuses in... I forgot once to put a 2nd one in and wondered for ages why it wouldn't work

Check the gps strength before a permanent fix. Most trackers like to be on the dash. Ie no metal above them.
