Though the car still hasn't seen the road since my last update I did decide that the lotus wheels weren't for me but the specs were what i wanted, after plenty of looking around I saw that Rota did an Else spec wheel and the Torque style was the one I preferred.

Rota have discontinued making them in the sizes that I wanted so I started looking at Works Emotions which they were based on, sadly they don't seem available in ideal sizing so I looked for want I wanted in Japan and after a month of searching ended up buying 2 sets to get want I wanted.

Shipping estimates were through the roof so the slow boat it was after a number of weeks they landed mid to late Feb and I got them refurbished in satin black and had the AD08rs fitted to them and they are on the car as of Saturday.

Then on Sunday I ended up buying a set of used Crower Forged conrods from FB as that's probably the next weakest spot to do with my engine setup but I do also want to get an uprated sump like Morosso sump, I also still have my front big brake kit to fit as well

You seen on the serious tracksspyder group there's a chap selling an elise baffled sump (pretty much same as moroso) for £350? let me know if you want the link

Thank you, I didn't know about that group but I think I might be talking to him on a FB page. The used Crower forged con rods turned up yesterday and I'm looking forward to starting an engine build for safety rather than looking for more power

Sadly I missed out on the baffled sump but it is something that I want to get at some stage, I am pleased to have got the forged rods but it has got me thinking!

As an engine will need to be opened up it might as well have a refresh as it would be having a timing chain kit I might as well do both pumps but is it worth changing the pistons and rings to a more suitable 8.8:1 compression for my forced induction setup or is that just overkill?

I finally fitted the bigger front aftermarket calipers and disks, I also sent an email into Rogue Motorsport to see if they could estimate a list of works to try to get my car back on the road this for the first time in nearly 5 years. I am capable of doing most of the work but time is one of my biggest failings at the moment as its growing season and as a self employed gardener/ lawn care specialist.

To get it back on the road here is my list

A good inspection of the car been off the road for nearly 5 years,
Change my MR-S 5 speed box and the TRD selector for my UK 6 speed and cage,
Supply and fit facelift drive shafts,
Full service including brake fluid,
Fresh MOT

(Ideally but)
- Fit an aftermarket sump suited for my setup like the one from Elise parts,
- Supply and fit an aftermarket thermostatic oil cooler,
- Fit return fuel rail with a modified OEM one as well as pipework and fuel pressure regulator and uprated fuel pump (I have one ready to fit,)
- Some general tidying up in the engine bay

Does anyone have any recommendations for some where to get a suitable aftermarket fuel rail and thermostatic oil cooler?

#81
I got The Gulf out of the workshop and gave her a quick little wash last week

With the up and coming trip to Rogue Motorsport for reinstatement inspection, service, MOT, UK 6-speed gearbox change as well as a couple other bits I have been looking around at other bits and pieces to. The engine has always run an Manual boost controller and its been something I've wanted to change to an electronic controller. Looking around at what seems to be out there I am leaning towards AEM's Tru-Boost X control also because it will match my AEM Air Fuel Ratio gauge, do you have any recommendations?

The plan is to get the car back on the road and enjoy it for sometime but I am fully aware that I'm still running Apexi Power FC engine management and want to swap it out for something newer, I will need to look into getting the right setup with more options for modern day functionality but there could be some good potential for some great improvements and safety features for both engine and drivers aids.

So today I hired a trailer so I can take my car to Rogue Motorsport tomorrow

I also had a little tidy up and sort through items I have collected over the years. I a nice aray of items to take with me tomorrow and have even put a few things up for sale a roadster owners page of face book. I even got a photo with our family JDM motor in as well.

So an in-depth inspection has been carried out and the guys at Rogue Motorsport have picked up on a few things which I wasn't aware of and is great. Apparently my log manifold needs a little bit of work and is repairable but I was wondering where are people buying their 1ZZ manifolds from and how much are they generally?
