Has anyone put a supercharger on a 1MZ in a MK3 before? Can't see anything about it having been done yet. I know the TRD unit doesn't fit but there's still enough space for a custom install. What you thinking on the ECU side of things?

Just a simple piggyback.
You can run 4psi of boost on stock ecu.
Plenty do on the 1mz with trd charger.

Its probably been done in the USA not sure about over here.

Sorry but she hasnt.
She supercharged a 1ZZ not a 1MZ.

If you are going to build the motor for high revs and a long power band then the Rotrex is your tool. The TRD with Roots type blower is a torque monster and will keep the power and torque at or below current rev range for brutal driveability. Also, easier to handle more power at lower revs with the stock engine as revs add their own requirement for durability. Personally torque propels a car and that's what id go for hence you having a v6. And less gear changes save you time in acceleration.
You'll have a 0.5s advantage on JoeCool without any other factors by only having 5 gears and the torque to use it vs his mechanical advantage of high gearing and revs.
Plus being the only official TRD supercharged v6 is epic bragging rights, a proper supercharged Toyota v6 MR2 as Toyota would have built it.
Cheers

Unfortunatley Tyler the TRD roots charger doesnt fit on a 1mz inside a mk3 engine bay it fouls the driver side suspension turret. I think.
It also is designed to push 4psi and doesnt really like being pushed harder.
I wont be uping the rev limit.
Only want 7 psi.
The car pulls so well from low revs i think a rotrex will suit it.

Really interested in what you're planning here so will keep watching this.

I would say that my conversion has a gearbox from an ST202 jap import which apparently has longer gearing. I certainly have no issues with the gearing feeling short in mine. Might be worth looking at.

I have a fluctuating temp gauge.
I knew that when i bought it.
It gets worse when you run the fan turn the headlights and radio on so assume it some weird electrical fault.
However on the way home tonight with roof down realised the heater isnt anywhere near as hot as on the turbo car.
More investigation needed.

Yeah. You need to attach it to the top of the radiator and one to the top of the heater matrix, and hang them off the open bonnet to find a level across the whole length of the car. Although mine bled very easily, I just had the rear of the car high on my drive and let it idle for a while with the expansion tank open.

Re heat temp from 1MZ engine, compared to 1zz.  The heater in my V6 car is good, but the 1zz in my previous car practically burnt my hands if I put them too close to the vents...
1MZFE, Emerald ECU, LSD, BC coilovers, custom middle & front under brace, F / R strut brace. Slotted discs & yellow pads, Blue flame exhaust.
Carrera leather seats, Davids bars, Focal subwoofer & voce speakers & bling !
TRD Stage 2 F & R spoilers,  Haltezza bonnet, C1 side vents, JDL rear panel

Well unpainted ones tend to go for about £40. This one has been rubbed back to bare metal, a coat of rust resistant primer, 2 coats of paint and one coat of lacquer. So about £55.00.
