Earth Points

Hi folks,

Can anyone tell me where i can earth the amps i'm installing in the bin area and behind the seats, and before someone says use one of the 3 studs under the cubby hole floor, they've already been ground off to fit the monobloc in

same place as teh power, take a cable through teh grommet on teh firewall straight to the battery.

I wouldn't normally reccomend it, but your less than 50 cm from teh battery so you will be fine.

i was told that that could damage the battery and told not to do it, can you advise otherwise then Mark

it will be fine, the battery negative earth terminal is connected to teh body anyway.


general rule of thumb is don't do loing runs to get there, earth as close to teh amp as possible.

liek I said 50cm is nothing.

mines been that way for 12 months, other than a flat battery due to unrelated lack of use for a couple of months, it has been fine.
