Has anyone fitted a new cat off ebay?
What are your experiences?
Did it fit OK.  How long has it been on.
The BM ones seem a bit too cheap and don't show the flexi connection to the manifold. Look solid ?
There are some more expensive made by Klarius which are shown as the oem details, but they list two models for from 2000 to 2002, then 2002 to 07?
As far as I understood the only Cat mod was on the heat shield welds, altered on facelift to stop rattles, but these still fit all Roadster model years.
Advice and opinions please.

I have a cats2u one and it was a good fit - I've had it about 10m with no probs.

My FL had a heat rattle. I had to cut the bolts off and put brand new ones on.
The Cats2U don't have or need heat shields. I've wrapped mine though (as have others I believe).

Hm.
Only difference seems to be an H in the part number, although the Klarius number is the same?
On the date it's early pfl, but as we all know there is no difference as far as fitting is concerned   s:roll:  s:roll:

The slightly more expensive one is 'certified'.  A picky MOT tester can reject one that isn't.  For a fiver more, might as well get the certificate.

I fitted one this month after royally failing my MOT on emissions.  All passed yesterday.  from memory, it was the cheaper one was type approved.  Either way, as Carolyn says, it's worth getting the type approved one...

I also used Suzuki Baleno crush rings off ebay as getting to MrT is difficult for me and I didn't find a site to send me OEMs
