Finally fitted my 4 branch manifold and 200cell cat.
It has made my Fox system sound a little louder which I don't mind.
Performance feels better but is it because it sounds better?

Throttle body next.

I considered this gasket but doesn't it prevent the nice laminar flow of air into the plenum?
That's what it's for, so I decided to keep it.
Only thing I considered was seeing if one could be made with a less restrictive mesh

Not saying it's the wrong gasket.
I've got a maxbore as well. Just wonder whether the gains from the removed restriction trumps the losses from the airflow being more turbulent coming in.

If it does, I'm in and I'll be ordering one and all

P.s glad you're sending it to maxbore, it prevents certain another manufacturers more local claiming results that aren't valid.

Found this interesting read:
I had my TB maxbored a year ago.. I was talking to a number of people who work on TB job and all concluded that it is for preventing objects from getting in the engine. However, we all agreed that is this the job for our air filter ? There is nothing that the mesh can catch but not the air filter. The mesh itself is too thin to function like a honeycomb air straightener. After a number of discussion with these people, I decided to completely remove it and built my own gasket. This was a year ago.. and I am driving without any issue.. Once you have maxbore your throttle body, your RPM can rev higher and quicker with smoother response...

Hmm.. Worth a shot in any case then.
The concept of the mesh/honeycomb is pretty much in all production vehicles so it must have some merit, but maybe only with a stock airbox?
I've got about 20cm of straight pipe before it goes into a small bend into the TB, surely there can't be that much turbulence...
... Said he uneducatedly..
How much are these gaskets?  s:) :) s:)  If you order two included in your postage it would save me international postage  s:) :) s:)

My BMW  M3 had no mesh...Vectra V6 had mesh just before the maf...I was surprised to see it in my 2.

Monkeywrench have an offer on removing the baffles in the intake manifold.

The Maxbore has just arrived back to me, gasket if I remember $10
sent with the T.B. no tax as it is a refurb.

Hmm. Might be easier for me to buy dremel out the mesh from mine.

I remember seeing the baffles thing on MWR. Didn't seem applicable to my purposes (no boost).

Curious what you think of the TB going on. I really like it
