Absolute question dump as I don't know where half of these would go.
1. Where would I be able to get a roof strap (to prevent ears) from, as my car doesn't have one and it doesn't seem to be in and storage space.
2. My lights have condensation inside of them and are cloudy on the inner surface, is there an easy way to fix this or am I going to have to put them in the oven or buy some new ones?
3. My side vent is only attached with one clip, where can I buy more, or fix this?
4. Has anyone put spotlamps on the front of a 2? And how do you think they'd look?
5. Is there a way to get a louder exhaust for closer to £100-150 instead of £400 I'm seeing for any aftermarket exhausts?
6. How important are the undertrays at the rear?

A pre-emptive thank you for any replies.

I have a spare one - I got one from a breaker, who kindly gave me it for nowt - but when I went to fit it, I found my original strap inside the "tunnel" - PM me your address, I'll post it out and that way I've payed it forward

A user called Enjay recently asked similar question, about alternatives to oven method - a non-metallic pizza cutter and a cardboard box with a heat gun were suggested as alternatives - look here, may be useful.  Other than that, not sure - maybe let them dry out in the sun and attempt a re-seal with silicon gel?

Try breakers section, dealership or MR2-ben (pricier)

Erm, no. Going off piste?  s;) ;) s;)

Breakers section, ebay...other than that, sorry, pass. Make one yourself if you're a welder?

I've removed my rear undertray (nappy), after some of the insulating material combusted when it lifted and caught the exhaust. No adverse effects from my experience, improves visibility for garage inspections.  Not so sure about removing any of the others, over to the forum...

Health warning. Make sure your roof is still in good enough condition to cope with a strap. Many of us have sacked the strap because the roof seams where it attaches are getting older and a little ripe. Funky ears are less inconvenient than frayed edges  s:wink:  s:wink:

Good point, I'll keep an eye on mine too, just fitted recently. Thanks  s:) :) s:)

I would try taking off the rear lights, turning upside down and drilling 2 holes in the bottom of each at the lowest (now highest!) point. This can help the condensation clear when driving and maybe be enough for you? It wont help with the cloudiness though unless it is just a lot of condensation. If it does clear the condensation then you could try smearing some silicone sealer on the outside of the gasket at the top to limit what gets in maybe?

I think these are similar to the side vent clips;

I can't see you getting even a decent secondhand exhaust for under £250. They're seriously holding value.
The main choices are TTE or Cobra. Cheapest second hand of either I've seen recently was £250+.

You might be lucky and one of the breakers has one, but they tend to have a waiting list.

I paid £200 for my TTE from Dean a few weeks back - I had a few other bits too which is why I think I got it rather cheap. To me it's worth the spend as I like symmetry!!! Nice noise too

Mine already had a TTE exhaust, but I swapped the exhaust manifold out for a throatier sound. The manifold cost me £120 I believe, from this site off Hamish.

Manifold is where most of the sound is. That and intake.
If you want throaty, make it breathe better.
Open intake behind battery will make her roar at load.
Hamish's manifold will add depth, a sports cat will really open the noise up. Too much for some.

Backbox sets the "tone". TTE having the famous burble, Team Moon (some day I will have one) from the USA is a raspy beautiful scream with depth, Cobra is an offensive rumble  s:) :) s:)  haha
...neutiquam erro.

You're all amazing.

Thank you.

Think I'll hold off on the roof strap then, and will have a look at manifolds and getting hold of a welder to make a new backbox.

Will have a play with the lights and see what I can manage.

Also worth getting the precats removed from the manifold ASAP if they haven't already, I was also pointed to the below site for a good source of exhaust parts (I am yet to make up an exhaust for mine but it seems to have everything):

Re foglights, I think a Facelifted bumper is the best option there. IF a PFL car, you'll need to wire up some kind of relay and switch for them though.
