Luggage Rack

Only 2 weeks ago O traded up to an MR2 from an FTO in order to cut running costs and bring on a bit of roof down action!

Whilst being fantastic fun it has not proved entirley compatibale with my other half as she dislikes the lack of luggage space   s:cry: :cry: s:cry:  So I'm looking at acquiring a luggage rack for those longer UK breaks and trips to the airport however this gives me the following issues :

Has anyone out there got one already and if so where from ?
Are they safe to fit to the engine cover without damaging it ?
Will the case not heat up over a couple of hundrerd miles and meltdown, especially if I wrap the case in a bin bag ?!!

I'd be grateful if anyone can help.

not sure about a bin bag, but i always use a plastic Peli case and never had a problem, plenty of airflow
