Is it just me? Every time I wash my car, I discover another little blemish on the paintwork  :P nothing major, just a historical touch up here or there or a short scratch through the clear coat or a scuff on the bumper! I haven't started on the paint renovation project yet, so at least I'm getting everything catalogued before I start  ;) It does help prove the pulling power of these cars, because when I viewed it (just 5 weeks ago) I only notice 1 or 2 of them. At the time of "inspection" all I could see was me driving down the road with the wind in what's left of my hair   :-*

I also noticed another ding on the day after ding day! It's on the passenger rear panel but must've been there all along because I came straight home and parked up with that side to the fence! Now it just sits there laughing at me when the reflection is just right to reveal it :)

Ah well, still loving it  :-*

Washed it not likely.
Until it runs right am not likely to either.

Stop worrying about paint.
Just enjoy yourself.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

But I'm enjoying learning how to take care of him. It's going to be a long road  ;)

Preferably a long and winding one.

Nope, it's not just you. I'm finding bits on mine where it looks like a Brillo Pad has been used to get rid of dead bugs in the past. Covers well with a decent polish though

I also found partly painted masking tape while I was fixing the aerial. I think any touch ups or repairs show someone in the past has cared enough to do it

Mine looks great from a few steps away, but when cleaning the amount of dings, points of impact, crazing, chips etc, really is unreal .
Good thing you cant see any of it from the drivers seat!

:)welcome to the down side of cleaning or the plus side.
at least you can see what has happen since you last wash and what needs to be done now.

We just cleaned up the wife's new (to her) car over the weekend, only just got it so went though and cleaned, clay barred and waxed it etc, will then protect the paint and any blemishes from getting worse until we get a chance to go in and sort anything - mainly stone chips on the bonnet etc.

Got a couple of bits where the paint has flecked off the rear bumper, but I've got original spats, so can't really swap it out.

Driver's door has some light scratches as does the front bumper. Both rear wings have bubbles near the door.  Easily replaced from what I've read but...

End of the day mine's a 14 year old car and as above, I'd just get out there and drive it :) still looks great from a distance
