Anyone have any recommendations for a good, small fire extinguisher and bracket combo? And a location to put it!
I was thinking in the gap between the centre console and the cup holders?

I'll try and find a photo of where I put mine, but basically its bolted to the passenger bin door, between the seats.

Doesnt get in the way there.

I knew I saw one at ding day.
I always doubt my own work so wouldn't mind one just in case. Might help save the car if I catch it early lol

It wasn't mine at Ding Day as my car wasn't there!

But found the photo.  :)

To be honest I actually thought you were taking the pee last night when you posted this as I'd already mentioned I bought one yesterday when I went for some salad [emoji851].

Haha! No worries, I think the one in the pic is a bit smaller than the lidl ones though, don't think one would fit neatly anywhere in the cockpit.

Ahh. Will have a look around then. I was thinking on the passenger side pillar next to the stereo?

Got mine from Screwfix.
Comes with a bracket but fits in the glovebox anyway.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I'd be a bit concerned of one at the side of my head becoming detached in an accident and giving me a little love tap...

Thats why i didnt get a bigger one! Think mine is 650g. Just found the 1kg size to be too big.

Obviously if its a bigger fire, you wont put it out, but I'll take my chances. I only bought it as its a legal requirement to have one in Europe!

Could be short and have his head next to the extinguisher if on the bin door?  :-\

I was thinking in the extreme case of going on it's side etc, as someone who's put a car on its passenger side in the past it's surprising how much loose objects move around in those circumstances. Similarly in a rear end shunt, my phone ended up in the back seat from the overhead bin in the Vectra.

Probably doable at a push but bear in mind I didn't buy it to be stored in the car, having said that I might get another and put it in the frunk.
The retaining strap isn't very robust though, practically single use (understandably) fine for stopping it falling off the bracket in normal use.

Mmm. It is rather bulky. I'll try and get a little one I think. That's why I wanted it down by the passengers right knee. It should be pretty secure there.

We do a roll over drill in work and watch videos of vehicles rolling and you're right. Things go flying.
