TTE turbo upgrades?

Hi

Can anybody suggest some good upgrades for my TTE turbo?
I understand the SP240 had another type of piggyback. A programmable one, which the TTE is not. What type does the SP240 conversions run?

What's the best racekat?

A boost gauge would be smart too. What is hot these days? I haven't had a turbo car for 15 years, and I guess that the old Apexi, Blitz and HKS gauges are starting to become a bit outdated?

For me it is more economical to sell on a genuine TTET than to upgrade it.
Even the Sp240 i had although very quick wasn't living up to its potential.
Standalone and charge cooler are where its at.
99% of the time you always end up wanting more power anyway so go to the max off the bat and save money long term.

If you don't want to sell then i would look into modifying intake and exhaust.
@s12vea fitted a manual boost controller to his for a bit more grunt but intake temps would worry me i would fit a charge cooler the ecu would automatically adjust to much lower temps and you get more power safer win win.

Thanks for your input. Any recommendation on what chargecooler to use?

I tried a manual boost controller but even on the minimum setting was too much boost for the car.
I then preloaded the actuator so boost built quicker which was a good improvement and it also allowed the boost to rise slightly to 10psi.
Tbh I wouldn't do any more than that. It's a reliable kit just enjoy it.

A boost gauge is a must, cheap mod but will tell you how things are running and also will be first sign of any problems starting with the turbo
Another one won't hurt  .....

The ones on eBay have been proven good value.
A proper charger cooler pump from Bosch is a must and a decent sized radiator.
Fiat Cinquecento radiators have been used before to good effect.
Not sure what I'm using tbh but it's bigger than that.

It would be interesting to see what a TTET would make with proper cooling.
Even @dan944 with his custom setup larger intercooler more modern turbo etc has high intake temps holding him back.

I'd take care of it and would drive it the way it is. Buy another one for huge power..

The problem with more power is...

It's never enough!

Ok, so the only quality brand racekat I can find, is PPE:

Not exactly cheap. Anyone know of any alternatives?

Anything 200 cel that passes the mot will be good.
If you've got a stock exhaust or TTE then you may as well sell because not only are they heavy but restrictive.
Getting something custom fabricated is probably best.

As Scotte says, you're often better off getting one made up on the car. I tried for weeks to source an off the shelf one and ended up getting one made to measure.
You could try Japspeed, they were out of stock when I wanted one but were expecting to have stock around now, I just couldn't wait.
