Personal opinion...the MR2 is a Millenial car...doesn't suit a wooden wheel.

It's what you touch the most on the car....don't scrimp. If a new Mota-lita or Momo etc is too expensive, I'd go for a used one.  Bargains to be had, & if you buy used, & you don't like it, sell & try another one.

Bear in mind a Momo wheel boss is around the £80 mark. It only fits 3 cars, so made in low volume presumably.

Thanks for the thoughts shared.

The ´sticky´ obeservation applies to polyurethane and leather too. The latter is actually quite bad, the worst really; smoothed suede is best; perforated pu second; normal pu and wood in between.

´Too expensive´ is relative. Yes indeed; it is as with tyres imo too. The tyres are the contact patch with the road for the car; the steering wheel my hands on contact with car thús road.
I will definitely go quality or not do it.

The boss is a given whichever hoop I go for.
Momo is state of the art, Moto-Lita só retro (wood perhaps a bit too). The M-Ls need a special adapter adding weight and another 80€ making it almost on par with higher end Momo. I mean; a perfectly ok perforated pu Momo is 100€. So, what are looks alone worth??

I love the dash look, its awesome. Im totally in love, can we retrofit something like that?
