Anybody know what the differences are (if any) between PFL and FL brake calipers?

Both brakeparts and mr2ben both list different parts for up to sept 2002 and sept 2002 onwards.
brakeparts also make a ref to 5 vs 6 speed.

Can't say for sure, but quite a few identical parts have different numbers.

I've worked on the rears on FL and PFL and I haven't noticed a difference.

No difference. Probably just denotes a change of supplier or something.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

When I got mine (admittedly going back a couple of years) on Brakes International the 'PFL' had a core charge whereas the 'FL' didn't.

Have seen similar comments from Dick Sloan re the lack of actual difference.

The PFL/FL third party handbrake cables are different lengths but presumably there's some minor tweak in routing?
