The wrong tyres

Getting my 2 ready to get back on the road I found a nail in the shoulder of my rear tyre. An AD08R with about 800 miles on it. When checking for prices I found that when I had all 4 fitted they put the wrong size on the back. They are 205/50/R16 rear and 185/55/R15 front. So not far off the stock 215/45/R16 rear. It also seems the rubber compound has since changed in the update to AD08RS.

So the question is, do I try and track down an old stock AD08R (I wouldn't want to mix compounds across an axle) and continue with the wrong size or is it worth eBaying the other one and going for a fresh pair of AD08RS in the correct size? I'll probably never notice the difference but might be worth it for the peace of mind.

I'm leaning towards option 2

If you hadn't noticed you had the "wrong" size then probably not worth worrying. Plus 205 rears (although on 15 inch wheel) are on the pre facelift so it's a safe setup.
On the other hand mr2s wear tyres so slowly you'll be living with a niggle for a long time so if it bothers you...

Can you get AD08 tyres in 215? I thought it was 205 or 225?

Yes.
They were/are one of the very few tyres that matched stock spot on.

What James said. You still have the stagger. If you haven't noticed then I wouldn't be spending any more than you need to.
