Yep, I've heard it from 3 or 4 of them.  In the last couple of years the car was outside & on flat ground, so the handbrake wasn't usually applied. I would reverse, then after a few yards going forward, hear the noise.

Mine does exactly the same. Perfectly normal. Part of abs system.

Don't worry, I'm already thinking of pulling the fuse for the ABS to see if it goes away. If it doesn't I'll be going round the car with a plectrum looking for things to twang!

Shortly after pulling away out of my drive, my car makes a rather entertaining metallic twang noise. It doesn't sound too worrying but it happens almost every time and only when the car is moved after starting from cold. My best guess it is steering related.

Anyone heard of this before??

I have the same noise, only happens when I first pull away, put mine down the the clutch pedal assembly(spring), could obviously be wrong though,doesn't happen beyond first pulling off

Also. If you happen to sit in the car for a while after stopping. You might hear whatever it is un twang as well. I have, but no time reference as to how long.
