Evening all, just connected up my Emu Black with the harness provided BY RRR.

However when I'm on the 2nd click of the ignition I can hear the power steering pump whirring.

I'm assuming it's a pinout issue with the harness, does anyone have the pin details for the standard ecu so i can try and trace it back?

Easier to discuss with RRR?
...neutiquam erro.

If it helps, my 2ZZ swap is wired this way, and I have the same thing you describe. Basically you have PAS with the ignition ON.

It's been like that for 8 years now, and hasn't caused me any problems.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Their comms haven't been great on some other items.

So I'm just going to sort and map locally.

Yeah seeam to be a common issue, I'm going to either change the wiring so it doesn't do it or put the PS on a switch as I don't want it draining the battery whilst I make changes to the MAP with the ecu connected.

I agree it's not an issue. It's mostly tied into the factory ECU. The worst thing that could happen is if you leave it in the second position without starting the car for a very long time you might run down the battery.
If you try to modify the electrical system you will introduce a new failure point so it's best  to leave it alone.

If you need it in the second position I would just get a battery charger and supplemental power.

It would take quite a while to drain the battery. I reckon you could leave it on >10 minutes without draining the battery.

I can confirm it's around 10 minutes.... 😂

All sorted now, and u can live with it. It was whilst I was setting up my EMU Black which is now running the car.
