The Cyclops could well see you not allowed on some UK tracks too, at 98dB under cruise conditions (depends how each track checks your sound levels, some do it at more than cruise)..

i just installed a trd header in place of the stock one. I was consuming oil when i was going in high rpms. i will try high rpm with the new header to see if that changes anything.

the top part of the preacts showed some signs of damage but nothing big and the bottom part looked mint. of course my toyota garage knows nothing and cant tell why the engine is consuming oil in high rpms.

now i hope it will all be fine (but still not sure).

just a quick question guys, when I last had my car serviced I asked specifically if they could check the "pre-cats" and the guy was like what are pre-cats so I printed some pages off the forum here so he got general idea of what i was talkin about, so here my question, what is the proper technical name/term for the pre-cats? as i looked a bit stupid last time i went to the toyota garage and asked about them.

refer them to section EC2 and EC3 of the engine manual, publication number RM763E

collectively the catalytic converter are reffered to as Three Way Catalytic Converter, abbreviated to TWC

Pre cats are Front TWC Bank 1 and Front TWC Bank 2

main cat is Rear TWC

if they can't find it from that they need to be fired.

good stuff mark, im gonna print this off and show the tw*t next time, he made me out to be a complete fool last time but i just kept on and on at him then he realised. to be honest you would think mechanics/employees of toyota would follow forums like this just out of personal interest wouldn't you, is there any on here?
