Are brake and clutch hydraulic system connected?

Hi,

I am doing my brakes now and would like to bleed them afterwards.

One question which I couldn't answer myself, are two systems linked/do they share the same fluid?

Can I just  bleed the brakes and leave the clutch fluid for the future?

The braking system and the clutch system are independent/ separate circuits.
They can use the same fluid  so no reason not to bleed/ change the fluid in the clutch at the same time.
The clutch is certainly easier to do as only the one bleed valve.
Even easier with a Wotnots brake bleed tube, from £5.53 on eBay or Amazon.
A very simple design, a length of rubber tube, one open end goes onto the bleed nipple the other, closed end into a catch receptacle. The valve is a razor slit in the closed end of the tube.
Does it work?
Well, it certainly did in the mid / late1960's , and the last time I used a (new one) was in the 2020's when I used it on my 2.
Once upon a time, again in the'60's I did buy some one way valves, for each bleed valve. But, they stay on the car when you move on!
My Wotnot was used over the years and as said the last time on my on my 2.
I believe it's on a shelf in my " brake box" on a garage shelf.

The clutch master cylinder and reservoir become visible when you remove the plastic surround in the Frunk.

I'd just leave it alone and concentrate on the brakes.
