Has anyone else seen or are using this?

Looks like a interesting and relatively inexpensive device if you want to check OBD info on the go, with a few other features.

Im not sure about the name though, if you typo'd and missed an 'l' in a Internet search,  you'd probably end up on the wrong part of the Internet....

Never heard of that before.

As you say, pay attention when typing.

SurreyMR2

Good video on youtube about this.

It looks very good, but not exactly cheap though.

Was tempted but price is overkill.

For similar prices, you can get custom OBD gearknobs, with gear displays and steering wheel centers for the same price which are waay more advanced.

I have one, and it's excellent.

Conversely, I think it's superb value for money. It's also designed and built in the UK, by a great team IMHO.

Support is superb. I've fed back some recommendations, and within a couple of days, a new firmware update was sent to me, which incorporated my suggestions and more. Works perfectly.

Never heard of it, but do want it.
Finally some option to replace useless stock clock.
I was desperate and even looking at options to replace stock with Lexus one with outside temp. sensor.

Love that!

If it was my car, I'd be having one of those. But it's Patsy's & she'd never use it beyond the clock so hey ho.

It's gone up from £180 to £197

There is an option for both silver & black buttons now though.

That's because I asked for them I believe.

SurreyMR2

I've bitten the bullet and ordered one with the black buttons.

Hi all, Horse Clock creator here - Just wanted to join this thread to say thanks for the interest and id love to answer any questions you may have.

A quick rundown of what the product is:
- A clock replacement for the Mk3 MR2, bringing live data, graphics and character to the clock space
- Fast easy install - plugs into the OEM connector and included is a quality OBD adapter to read ECU data
- High quality 3D printed enclosure using ASA-CF to withstand summer dash temps while looking great
- The OLED display is legible even in direct sunlight
- Uses a real time clock to keep the time even if you disconnect your battery

I've spent most of this year developing this product and a lot has been added since launch at MR2 National Day in June. Some of the main features include:
- Live Data, 0-60 Timer, G-Force Meter, accurate clock, graphics and minigame.
- MPG screen records and displays your calculated fuel economy (MPG imperial/metric or L/100km)
- Connect your phone to unlock a world of extra customisation and settings
- Firmware updates via your phone
- Read & Delete Engine Fault Codes
- Popups, GIFs & MR2 Themed Graphics
- Various Temp & Voltage Warnings
- Data logging - Log and Graph multiple values of your choosing. All downloadable to your phone.
- Support for unit conversion (km--mi etc...) depending on what part of the world you reside
- Choose between different clock screen styles and live data arrangements to suit your needs.

Thanks again everyone for the interest, please do ask any questions!
Jack.

P.S. Recently confirmed that Horse Clock is 2zz compatible!

Hello and welcome.

Fast easy install - plugs into the OEM connector and included is a quality OBD adapter to read ECU data.

Just for my clarity.

2 separate items.
The dash clock unit AND an obd dongle?
How do they talk to each other? Over car wiring?

Bluetooth i believe.  Very quick & easy to setup. Plug in, ignition on, set time, wait a few mins at most & it connects. Dead easy

@Ardent

@SurreyMR2 Is correct - the unit communicates wirelessly which makes install super easy. And the dongle has a smart sleep feature so it won't drain the car battery when the ignition is detected off for a short period of time

I doubt there would be an issue, but could  you confirm if it works with the tte turbo set-ups.

Given the extra piggy back ecu etc. I'd be happy to test it if unable to confirm.

This little bit of kit looks brilliant!
I already have a vLinker MC+ will it work with that??

Just need a JODB version for the 2ZZ.

@Ardent All depends on whether or not your piggy back ECU still retains the OEM OBD port and works. An easy way to try is just plugging in a generic obd dongle - are you able to pull data?

@Pete McCue Yes it absolutely will work with your MC+. It's the same brand/family as the dongle which is supplied with the Horse Clock (Made by VGate)

Already tested and working with the 2zz ECU.

If your specific 2zz is a japan import, the horse clock may need to provide the dongle a special initialisation command to work with the JOBD ECU. This, while untested, can be done. Now that horse clock supports updates over the air, I can provide a JOBD specific firmware version and make changes if needed.

All oem as Mr T's own turbo.

Well in that case, I don't see why it wouldn't work

Ah, ok. So it's supplied as a kit? Is the clock available on it's own?
