Sorry to read about the car, but I have to say, this bit:

Quote from: "mokeyb"i bent under my car to inspect the damage only to have strange fluid start pouring out of my nose when i tilted my head upside down.  It was very strange! it also worrying looked like cerebral fluid according to the nurse (missus) which ofcause didn't make me very calm!.  So ofcause i got back into the car and headed back to A&E.

Did make me chuckle...

"Eek, I think my brain is leaking! Right, I'll just pop down to A&E in the car..."  s:lol:  s:lol:

I imagine it was sinus fluid, by the way? At a guess.. A good smack to the head often 'breaks the seal' so to speak, and starts your sinuses draining, especially when you bend over (I speak from Windsurfing experience.. although then they were draining due to all the salt water that had just been forced up my nose and into every available cavity after a spectacular dismount  s:lol:  s:lol:  )

I totally agree Tem.

I even used to slow down in my CTR which could have left a lot of cars standing.

As i always say "better to have someone like that in front of you than  behind you"

Unfortunatly on motorways there is sometimes nothing you can do.

A few years ago i remember a story my dad told me.  He was coming down a motorway in the early hours of the morning when he came across two lorries in the inside and middle lane, so he went into the fast lane to over take.  During this time he saw a car coming up behind him probably exceeding 130mph, so he tried to get past the lorry and pull back into the other lane.  Now you would think that any sensible person who was driving this mercedes doing 130mph would think, "ahhh there is no where to go, i will slow down until there is an opening".  But no, the mercedes driver decided it would be best to ram my dads car even though it was still overtaking the lorry.  Luckily my dad was fine but who knows what was going through that nutters head in the mercedes.

Its always best to just let them get past you.

aaronjb, lol  s:) :) s:)  my actual thoughts where "right im not unconsious, can't be that bad!".

I think it was sinus fluid, although the people at a&e just said, well you have not got pins and needles or any other symptons to suggest a head injury so your fine.

I do have sinus problems anyway im actually due for an op in october so hopefully they won't have to do it now!.  There we go miracle cure to sinus problems a good crack around the head.[/quote]

Just got the word that after almost 1.5 months my car is finally on its way back!.  So excited.  Really looking forward to the car coming home, although i am quite worried that it wont look like it did when it left.   Am i expecting too much in thinking it will look like new?.
