yeah i can confirm that as well Roger, the unichip isn't affected by this at all

The 'bit' insisde the MAF is the thermistor AFAIK.  I really don't think there is a problem with the Blitz panel filter, I had one never had any problems with it!  

Never quite sure about that filtration test, was it conducted by an 'independent' source, me think Apexi might have released it as a bit of PR

I'm sure no one can say whether Apexi had something to do with it, or not...then again, I've driven quite a lot without ANY filter on one engine (not 1ZZ nor MR2) and it didn't really have any noticeable issues during several years on street.
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.
