Nice of them   s:( :( s:(

No mention of brake fluid on either of my two services, so who knows if they did or not?  Can't see them doing it for free.

Quote from: "Ekona"Might have been £45 for the lot then: I can't quite remember as I bought them together.
I paid Mr T £51 just for the front pads today as I had to have new discs fitted as they had bad ridges in them causing a terrible rubbing noise  s:? :? s:?  I had to argue to get the discs and labour for free as they wanted to charge for them as well; the corrosion was diabolical. They may be ripping me off but I think they were around £45 + Vat a pair:?

That's about right, IIRC I paid £89 for 4 pads.

A simple question, but how important are those metal shields on the backs of the pads, I put my new pads in without them, or should I jack the car up and put them back on or are they not very significant?

Thanks for the reply Mark

BUT, 'You What'? ? ?

They had some weird vents in them i thought it was to do with the breaks heating up and damaging the brake cylinder. Obviously not. !

so if i don't put them on it might make a bit of a noise when i brake, but no damage to the brake components?
