This evening my light came on (for the first time).
I'll clean the MAF tomorrow and reset the ECU.

Although I have one quick question, I was forced to put in morrison 95 petrol yesterday (first time in years it's not had optimax or tesco 99).  Is this just a coincidence?

Changing to lower RON fuel shouldn't cause a CEL unless there is some other underlying problem.

Do you have a code reader? It'll be worth getting it read before you clear it.

If you haven't got one look in the thread for and member with one near you.

I'm in Herts and there doesn't seem to be anyone all that close to me.
I'm kinda tempted to get one as you can pick them up on ebay for just over £20.

I assume Toyota charge you for hooking the reader up? Stupid question, I know.

Toyota will probably charge you double the cost of buying one just to read the code   s:roll:  s:roll:

You never know some willing soul on here may be happy to travel a bit to read the code for you.
