pre cats

Hi there everybody , ive joined this site to find out some info ,
Im thinking of buying an mr2 03 and above the only thing that worries me is the topics about pre cats could some please tell me if these are on all mr2s or just early ones , and please can i have some advise on buying one what to look out for , thanks mark .

Hi, welcome to the forums.

They are on all MR2's and have been covered a lot recently. A search will reveal loads of info, as well as what to look out for when buying.

Certainly nearly 100% have been pre 03. Whether thats a model or a mileage thing, who knows.

I also reckon in numerical terms it is not as bad as reading this forum might imply.

All I would suggest is that if you buy an older one, and you feel this might give you sleepless nights, arrange a gutting. treat the cost as part of the price you are willing to pay.   s:wink: :wink: s:wink:
