I just got 4 litres of castrol edge sport 0-40W from halfords and seems very good so far. Not the cheapest at £37 but worth it in my opinion.

That's what I used last time too - the engine doesn't even sound 'rattly', and it's not burning oil.

Having said that, it's thinner than I'd like - 5W or 10W would be preferred, but the 10W Castrol's aren't as good quality.

Mobil 1 will be fine, however (I'd be tempted by 10W40 if you can get it, rather than 15W50, though)

Personally I always use silkolene pro s (10w-40 for the mr2).
It's a fully synthetic race spec oil (not semi-synthetic cracked hydrocarbon like a lot of so called performance oils - magnashite anyone).
Copes really well with track days and on my l;ast car I noticed a marked decrease in oil temp on track.
Smells nice too!
£35 for 4 litres though.

It's Silkolene Pro S 5w-40 and perfect for turboed cars.

£39.99 for 5L a bargain (rrp is £44.99)
