Hi all,

Ive been lurking here for a while after deciding to buy a '2. I pick up a 2000 model on Monday or Tuesday and I cant wait!!! Red, 28k on clock, A/C and Hard top and black leather, other than this it is completely standard. From what I have been seeing go through this site, I think I may have got a bit of a bargain.

So far its been a very interesting experience here. I have learnt that I must have the pre cats removed pretty much before I do anything else, and also that Corky's breast plate is about the best mod to be made for the money!

So my question is; Can anybody recommend any specialist garages/dealerships, local to me in Burnley. I am no where near confident enough to even contemplate gutting pre-cats and so on, but havent come across anybody in the vicinity that might be able to help me out.

Thanks for any help fella's.

BTW; Alfa 147 JTD M-Jet is still for sale, £7,295 in 'Trader, and inside info reckons that the reserve on ebay is even less than this  s;-) ;-) s;-)  !!

Hi and welcome.

Sorry Burnley is a bit out of my range. I can see you are starting to spend already! Hope the wallet is deep!

See you around

What Roger said   (Welcome, and sorry - Burnley is a bit out of my area too).

By the way, your car sounds almost identical to mine when I bought it a couple of months ago (except mine is 2001).  The only mod I've done so far is to fit an Apexi air filter.  No noticeable difference in performance but it sounds much better !!

What did you pay for one of those?

No deep pockets! But as you can see; can't resist, aren't those 0% credit cards just genius!!

I got mine from Japanparts.com, was about £105 IIRC.  Pretty easy to fit, there's great step-by-step instructions if you do a search on spyderchat.com, took a couple of hours and no special tools needed.
