new alloys,old sizes?can anyone lend me some wisdom.

I'm thinking of getting new set of alloys for my "2". She's 01 so that's 15's all round.I'm thinking of going with the team dynamics pro race 2's in gloss black to match the car.was going to go 16's till i read a thread which convionced me otherwise.Now i just noticed that aswell as the stock front alloys being 185 vs the 205 rears that the tyres on my car(which were on it when i bought it) are 55's front and 50's rear.Is this the size of the stock tyres that came on the car?
If i go with the pro race 2's will it affect the handling(or anything else) if i get the same size wheels (15"s) with the same size tyres all round (I think the tyres that come with the package are 205 45 r15).

alternatively if i got the wheels with 205 50 r15 allround would this be better

or..... should i got with the stock sizes ideally
or.....205's with 55's front and 50's rear???

yes i am trying to cover every base.
if anyone can impart some wisdom it would be greatly appreciated.
