Hi all,

I've just purchased a mk2 MR2 to use as a daily driver and thus relieve the MR-S Turbo of it's daily motorway drive at long last.
This mk2 has a 'GT Alarm' fitted with a fob that looks like this:

Does anyone with the same alarm know the method for de-activating the interior motion sensors, for instance when removing the T-bar panels, or folding the roof back in the case of the mk3?
I really can't work it out.
The small button is a 'panic button' and the large button is lock/unlock
By pressing twice as you would for instance on a Toad system to disable the interior motion sensors, just unlocks and then locks the car again.

Can anyone help at all?

Cheers,

Rowland

I had that alarm on my last Mk3 and as far as I can remember it didnt have the option to turn off the interior sensor - I could be proved wrong but its not something I remember seeing in the instructions.

Unfortunately I don't have a manual or instructions of any sort, and the internet seems a bit sparse too.
I left the roof of yesterday and within 15 minutes the alarm was squawking!
I wonder if I could angle the sensors in a particular way it would prevent them from triggering the alarm?
How do the interior (microwave?) sensors work anyway?

I had one of those alarms on my old celica, do you know what model it is? I seem to remember there was 2 different models, but either way I don't recall either being able to deactivate the sensors, can't find the instructions either so I'm not much help at all!
