Re-fitting factory stereo (need brackets)

I've just bought an MR2 which the previous owner had replaced the head unit in. They gave me the factory unit (with the bezel) with the car, but when I tried to fit it, it rattles about all over the place.

Although my stereo is different to the one pictured, looking at this picture, it looks like I need the brackets in the picture to fix it in place.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of some, (or even want to sell me their old ones if they have upgraded).

I have the stereo just loose at the moment, but every time i accelerate hard it flys out!  s:evil:  s:evil:

Why did they call it a "Midship Runabout"?!?! Surely "Mid-Engine Roadster" would have sounded better.

The brackets you are after are the two mounting brackets 86211-17050 and 86212-17050.

Nice one, I'd read that tutorial before, but i couldn't find it again. Thanks for that.

Toyota parts is closed 'till Monday now, but a friend suggested padding it out with newspaper (cheers Nick) and then hiding it behind the surround. It works like a dream for the weekend at least. I'll still buy those parts though as I don't want it to be too easy for a thief to pinch.  s:wink:  s:wink:

Once I've bought those I think it will be perfect.  s:D :D s:D   Is there any plastic box or anything that goes around the stereo/wiring or is it supposed to be exposed behind there? I know it's not visible from the seated position, but I want to get it back to factory state at the moment.

Also, is there anywhere I can get the part numbers for other parts (apart from going to a toyota dealer) like maybe an electronic service manual because I'm missing the two side panels for the rear luggage compartments.  s:roll:  s:roll:

There's a thin metal triangular shaped panel that goes on each side to close it in.

I've got a pair of these going spare if you need them Graeme.

I've got the mounting brackets now. What do those triangles look like? If they aren't the bracket, that'd be great.

How much would you want for them Steve?
