Can you make MR-S import DVD/TV work in UK.

Looking at an MR-S import with DVD player and TV, thing is it will only work with japanese DVD's and  presume its same with TV, can they be changed to work in UK, its essex girl racers car im interested in.

Japan is the same region as us, region 2.

Strange that if it only works with Jap dvd's ?? I'm sure you'd be able to region unlock it anyway, just find out the make and model and do an internet search. As for the tv, a frequency expander is often used for radio to use the UK frequencies. I'm not sure if there is a similar device for TV.  But its worth doing a web search. UNless somoene on here knows better.

and if worst come to the worst you can always make copies of the DVD's but make them region free

Sometimes they use NTSC-J , which is Japan specific

good point but you should be able to rip and transfer to that as well with software
