cd player which one

I Know toyota fit two makes of cd player One is a sony the other is one made for toyota I am hopping to fit a cd Changer but  i need to know which one is fitted , is there away with out tacking out the unit

Yep - the Sony was fitted to pre-2003 cars and is marked as a Sony item, the later Toyota item is marked as a Toyota item..

Easiest way to tell  s;) s;)

(Assuming your car is a UK car, the rules don't apply to Japanese or European imports)

thanks for the reply but is the name on the front of the unit this was purchased in 2003 march so is sony ?

Here we go - did some searching and found a pic of the Sony unit.

If it looks like this, it's the early Sony model:


If it looks like the one in this eBay advert then it's the new Toyota (or 'Fisher-Price' as we call it around here) model.

thanks for the info local garages round here are have been telling me that you can not tell with out taking the unit out,thanks again saved a lot of extra work, Now do you now if any cd-changer for the ( fisher price ) one
