Mk3 Stereo press-on covers

Hi all!

just got my first MR2, 2 days ago, back from ragging her through the lanes now, and there's a small part i'm having trouble getting -

she has a double height Sony stereo CD / tape / radio, and the port of entry kit included a press-on plastic cover for the stereo. when on it disguises the unit as a couple of extra (fake) drawers. i've seen them on other roadsters, but mine didn't come with one

everywhere i've tried has drawn a blank - any ideas? Sony say try Toyota, Toyota say try Sony etc. one chap suggested i go to a showroom on a warm day and nick one [Smile]

it's for the MR2 Mk3 Roadster, 2000/1

yep, know the plate your talking about, my advice is to watch ebay, they come up occassionally.

yup ebay is your best bet, I sold mine on there and it went for around 20 quid. Alternatively change the headunit for something better. Maybe a bit extreme, but worth it in the long run!

the Sony stereo is ok for the time being, i'll have a look through the other threads for a good replacement... unless there's an obvious / ubiquitous must-have unit?

car came with a sub in the 'boot', as an added bonus. it's already a better noise than i'm used to

Im in the same predicament as Babararacoocoodada I have bought an mr2 that hasnt got the cover and need one any one have one available or know of a place other than ebay to get one from?

Any help will be much appreciated  s:D s:D
