Adjusting the window position

I was wondering if anyone knows how to adjust the position of the window when it reaches its fully-up position?  Looking at the ware line on the softtop seal it appears to be about 0.5cm too low & causing wind noise at > 60mph.

It wasn't noticable when I had the new glass refitted (hard top on).  I'd call Autoglass back out however, I've got a little "ding" in the centre of the panel I want to push-out.

thanks,
S

The BGB seems to suggest that vertical adjustment is possible - take a look here

I'm aware this topic is 10 years old   s:shock:  s:shock:   But it seems like the link to this door adjustment PDF is exactly what I need. With the link being so old it doesn't work anymore so does anyone still have the pdf they could send me or put a link up to?

For copyright reasons the Club isn't allowed to host, reproduce or link to the Big Green Book etc.
Committee and Mods spend a fair bit of time hoofing around the site making sure that such links and images are removed. Ditto for links to suppliers of counterfeit copies.

For a fee you can buy time-limited access to repair manual documents from  m https://www.toyota-tech.eu m  and, I think, you can save them for future reference. (Patrick, shnazzle, can clarify this ..... he has used the site a fair bit).

Having said that I've no idea if the info you need is there!

Having done a few doors and window glasses, yes, you can adjust the angle and height of the glass. There are two main screws that have crosshair targets to help inform any adjustments that you make. Its not as easy as it looks - adjustment that you think will let the glass sit higher can simply produce a different issue elsewhere. If you fancy giving it a punt though, go for it. Keep a note of your starting point so if it goes belly up you can at least get back to there.

On a side note, it seems from your avatar pic that you've gone a little overboard with the seat height adjustment   s:lol:  s:lol:

Well being short I like a higher seat position. Now I just need to raise the windscreen to stop things hitting me in the face!   s:D :D s:D

Ah BGB = Big Green Book. I hadn't questioned what it was from, I just assumed a member had made the pdf. No worries. I'll just take the door card off and see what I can find. Will put some tape along the window so I know what position it started in.

I would recommend Toyota tech eu.  For around £3 you can have an hours access, just keep downloading sections from the BGB and read them later.  You want pages bo13 and bo14 for the adjustment.  Happy searching!
