Ok so first off, I am sorry if this is in the wrong place for this post or if it has been covered in detail already. I did a search and found some great links to remove door trim and speaker mounting template etc...very helpfull.  s:) :) s:)

but...

1. How important is Dyno mat or similar? I found this link :
  m http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLbxEEM433k m

Which is the Second Skin product, but not sure if dynomat will do similar thing...I was impressed by the difference, applying it made.

2. My second question is how easy is it just to cut the existing toyota speaker out of its plastic mounting and use it for the Infinitys??

I am not sure I want to cut them out incase I screw it up and end up with no sound hehe...suppose I could always buy new ones f desperate.

Anyway...any help or advice much appreciated....Just want to get rid of tinny toyota speakers  s:) :) s:)

problem with the roadster is that the metal skin is thin and you do get a lot of noise through it, dynamat does work, many on here have proven that but the main issue with it is the cost, it aint cheap, but if you go to B&Q and buy roof flashing tape then the cost plummets and its exactly the same product except for the flashing tape has an ally back to it

as for the stock speaker backing, 10mins and a dremmell, been done by others before

if they still do them, B&Q also do a 140W dremmell lookylike with a flexible snake, had mine for ages and still going strong

5 minutes, a hammer, a wood chisel, and a very rough file, will get you one pair of usable adapter units for zero cost and no need for exotic tools... Of course, if you have a dremmel, it'll make a neater job of it, but theres no need to buy one specifically.
