I've been borrowing an OBDII reader recently from roger, but have now returned it. I now want to get one for myself, should I get a USB one to use with my laptop. It seems like it could be cheaper that way, and provide me with more info if I ever think I'll need it.

There are some like this one that seem very cheap but only talk about VW/Audi/SEAT. Does this mean they are incompatible with our MR2s?

Cheers

Why did they call it a "Midship Runabout"?!?! Surely "Mid-Engine Roadster" would have sounded better.

This is the one I purchased from eBay.

Works great for me.  I wanted a stand alone one, I couldnt be bothered messing around getting a laptop to it and stuff like that.  Just plugs into the OBD socket in the car, and displays the fault codes on screen ( and what they mean ) and then you have the option of clearing the CEL too.
