Face lift "fisher price" stereo

Is the stereo in the Facelift cars any good (sound quality) ? is it just the looks that get it the name of fisher price ? i found the pre face lift stereo pretty good

No, not very good, the earlier one was better imho. Best plan, sell the Fisher Price on ebay, they seem to go for silly money and upgrade the headunit.Go for the single din conversion kit one of the guys on here sells and put in a new HU. Upgrade the speakers too, as the stock items are woeful.

Ive got a stereo in mind http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/pioneer-dehp4900ib-ipod-control-p-5666.html for my new 2 .. i wonder if i got it and took it with me to buy whether or not they would install it for me ... hmm

Look at the alpine 9850, it's about to be replaced and is going for silly money for what it is at the mo.  Can't recommend it highly enough, superb unit.

I got £90 for my old double din fisher price unit on ebay so the cost to change was quite low.  As mentioned already you will need the double to single din facia adaptor and also wiring harness and aerial lead adaptors.  

If you get the autoleads facia adaptor, the plastic bezel that fits around the fisher price unit will fit this and makes the installation look a lot neater.

is the 2 ISO ready or am i going to need to get a toyota / ISO convertor ?

you will need a toyota/ iso adaptor and an aerial lead adaptor, the toyota coax plug has a larger pin than than standard.
