hey guys
i'm upgrading my sounds this month with some new toys and was just curious as to what installs you lot have put in your roadsters
i'm going for a
Kenwood DDX-6029

That lot looks like it will give you what you need.
People have gone for all sorts of brands here, but Kenwood gear is fine and it will sound so much better than stock.

I have pretty much exactly what you are going for, sounds fine. Enough bass for the size of the car.

Ipod, DAB, 17inch components, 2 x 10inch subs, 2 channel amp for fronts, mono for subs.

TBH I don't really think our little car needs a sub, unless of course you are letting the neighbours (static or moving) delight in your choice of music.

Sorry if I'm being controversial, or should I say practical.  I've got a few "toys for the boys" in the car and out of it, so I understand where you are all coming from.   s:wink: :wink: s:wink:

Interesting. I have the P88RS which looks exactly the same! I'm really pleased with it. I used to run the P90RS + EQ and find the P88RS so much easier to set up. Plug in the microphone, press a button and it's all set up for you! You needed a degree in car audio to set up the P90RS + EQ.

They are basically the same. P88 is for european market and P880 for USA. IIRC, the Premium-brand just meant it had two years warranty and nothing more. The biggest difference however was the price, I paid some $300 from US, roughly £150 at that time. The downside is that the radio uses the 0.2MHz steps they have in US. No big deal for me, as I never listen to radio and don't even have the antenna.  s8) 8) s8)

I know P88 has a selection for EU/US frequency steps, but the P880 doesn't have it. I guess they figured out everyone would buy from US, if it did.  s:lol: :lol: s:lol:

While that is true, it's not THAT easy. You need to give the filters some thought and try few different setups. If you didn't, you might wanna try it, cause it can make a big difference. The autotune is great though and it does the rest for you.  s:D :D s:D

That is CHEAP! I used to work for Pioneer so I got mine for £250 which is still much cheaper than they are in the UK. I think the RRP is £450.

Yeah, I've tried a few different setups. I love the fact that it only takes a couple of minutes to change it all around, re EQ and time align and then you're done.

Oh yes, that is SO much easier than the old way. You basically needed a computer, with quality microphone and soundcard...and then you hoped that the AUX IN of the stereo didn't do anything funny. And then you tuned the system manually, which was bloody slow and ackward.  s:? :? s:?

who can point me in the direction of a link to print off a template for the speaker surrounds? i might be wrong but i'm sure I stumbled across it on here the other day-tried searching but i'll be damned if I can find it now.help  s:? :? s:?
