am i gonna have problems?????????

Hi guys, i have recently bought an 02 in blue and its easy to say that the only let down is the double din cd player and the cut your own ears off to solve the problem speakers. Just wanna know if am gonna have a problem fitting JVC KD-LHX552 head unit?
I bought a fascia adaptor off ebay which seems to be the right one. I have to admit im gettin concerns when i look at other forums stating how to fit a single din player cos after youve stripped the centre console down it looks like your left with just two bars from the dash to the floor. I suppose im just used to it all being a hole in the dash.
  Also im gonna have to upgrade the speakers but every one seems to be reccomending sound proofing the doors. never done that before but reckon i would have to since the doors are already rattling with the manufactuers speakers at higher volumes. what do you do with the sound proofing? do you just line the whole door?

Most do just the door card. You can do the outside door metal skin but access is limited. The more you put on the better it gets, but it is a diminishing return.
