This is for the pre face lift models to replace the blanking plug with extra rear lamps.

The lamps in question are trailer marker lights and they can be bought from HGV motor factors just ask for a pair of THESE, you will also need 2 X 5watt single contact bulbs (nothing above this for side light application)

All you need to do then is fit two core cable and Scotchlock them into your rear side light wiring.

Fitting is simplicity in itself   s:wink:  s:wink:

Remove bung

Feed wire through hole for connection

Push into place

Wire up and................................Voila

I'm pretty sure that headlights, taillights and other running/marker lights or reflectors have to be fitted in pairs.

There are also rules as to how far in from the sides of the vehicle they can be fitted - Maximum is 400mm - so get your tape measure out to be sure

The holes are where the towing points are. They are threaded to accept the bolt that is in (should be in) your tool kit.

The bungs are to make them look tidy. 03 later models have different rears and the towing points are disguised slightly diferently.

I've got red reflectors in mine thanks to Sean many moons ago.

Just a further thought on this issue.......you could fit additional reversing lights as an alternative, I noted that the company sold clear lights as well as red.......

I've got the reflectors in there at present but must admit, I like the idea of the lights.

Sorry Totty, don't know the situation re the single light, if I remember, you have the camera in the other hole ( bung, that is!!)  s:) :) s:)
Why not simply phone an MOT station?

PS,as an alternative, you could put one additional  reversing light in there........surely we've all seen vehicles using one reversing light with the fog  on the other side

Anything above 5 watt maximum would melt the lens so it wouldn't make a very good reversing or fog lamp
