Sure I've seen this on the site somewhere before and although I've tried searching for Kirks and holes etc and I can find that i need 3, 3mm holes drilled in the solid mounts to remove most of the judder and the MASSIVE engine noise I have in the cabbin (I'm having to wear earplugs).  BUT where exactly do I drill the holes, is it in the thin bits or the thick bits.

Do I drill in a triangle (which would make the most sense)?

Will the amplicfication of the engine noise pretty much go (my car has empty manifold, downpipe and H+S so is very loud)?

Any ideas.

Cheers:)

divide a mount into 3 segments if you can line these up so that the middle of each segment is over a thick bit even better

then drill 3 holes shaped liek teh points of a pyramid in the middle of each segment (you don;t need to go all teh way through

Job's done. Oot then back in with holes drilled. Also got them torqued up to the correct settings. Alex reports much reduced cabin noise, so for those who are doing this in the near future to N/A cars might be an idea drilling.

We also torqued my nuts up (oooh errrr missus) and I noted no difference in noise so must have already been pretty spot on. Easy job once again, about 2 leisurely hours spent on the job.
