Warranty

I went to Mr.T today to ask about my warranty and how it would stand if i fitted an TTE twin and an Apexi CAI, and i was told by there warranty's bloke that this would invalidate the warranty on the engine!!  s:? :? s:?   anyone else heard of this??

apexi is debatable though the answer should still be no.

the TTE is a TOYOTA Approved accessory so he's talking bollocks.

From my unnderstanding, for it to invalidate it they would have to proove that whatever went wrong was directly connected with the alterations.  I imagine this would proove very difficult with a mere influx of air.  However I choose not to have a CAI as they said it would proove problematic if something went wrong, so just had an element changed.
As for the TTE thats just plain daft because they're available from the toyota parts catalogue.  Wouldn't make much sense selling options that ruin your warranty.
