YAY OR NAY to these wing mirrors?

Do you think they would suite my car? Not sure If I like them or not, or pointless waste of money.

I've got some of those. They are from APR and you can't get the mountings any more. I believe they said they would set the machines up and do a run if they had enough numbers.

There are similar mirrors on ebay but the fittings will need customising. I think they are about 300 quid new for the APR ones.

Oh, and if you do fit them you'll probably have some nob come along and say they look like golf clubs.

I'm having trouble trying to work out what sort of power / performance gain you will get. Lighter than stock? Better rear view vision?
But if YOU like them, then sod other peoples opinions, go for them   s:D s:D

hahaha,  thats the first time I have properly Laughed Out Loud for absolutely ages.

The flip side is that I think they do look good and I do feel the stock ones can look a bit bulky and like a big slab stuck to the door

I quite like the mirrors but the base is a bit bulky - Would be OK on a black car, maybe if you painted the base body-colour?

BTW, how did it go at the Pod?

lol, I was gonna do that. I would have to say nay on the mirrors. Their performance (functionality) is less than stock, and the weight savings are measured in grams.

The corner splitters are just from Ebay. Out of 3 choices I went for size Small. I've always fancied trying a quarter mile so could well be up for it. Esp once I've fitted the PFC and got everything tuned to run smoothly

in my humble opinion NAY I can't see the point they look worse than stock and i expect visibilty is lessened too- not for me

There is definitely no loss of visibility with these. I've had them on for a year and have had no problems. There is a small weight saving, 1 or 2 kg, can't remember which off hand. The actual mirrors are extremely thin, one of mine cracked whilst cleaning it. APR do replacement glass tho. Overall I think it comes down to looks. Some like them, some don't. I do, which is cool for me.

Chris (Bossman) also has these fitted to his car and he has had them along while. I didnt notice that they were really any worse than stock when I've been in his car. As for the looks - I'm still on the fence - even after seeing them in the flesh a few times!!!
