Hi Joni. Sorry your first post is a problem, but lets hope you hang around.

My first comment would be are you sure the battery is holding a full charge? Alarms are known to operate when they are low.

And secondly, is the red alarm activation light still flashing when you have unlocked?

I am assuming of course, before the flat battery problem everything was tickety boo.

yea everything was ok till the flat battery.

i even disconnected the battery, charged it up over night on a trickle charge.  in the morning the battery wasnt taking any amps.

connected it back up and the alarm went off.

the red alarm activation light is still flashing even when the car is unlocked. and the hazard lights are going.

pulling my hair out.   just from a flat battery.

toyota say they want over £100 just to look at it.

That sounds as though you might not have not inactivated your alarm - or your battery in your key needs replacing. Try locking / unlocking using the key rather than the buttons.

What about attempting to re programme the remote, surely got to be worth a try.
