ariel link please

im trying to search the how to use the passenger window button for the ariel on my stereo. i havefound how to take the button out and solder the two wires together but not how to apply the button to the ariel wire. i dont know the colour of th ariel live or anything please help. as  i have decided to start this today on 21/11/09 and want to finish it before im back at work tomorrow

not what im after. in the audio/security room it has a 'how-to' use the passenger window button for other things. i want to usethe button to raise and lower the ariel seeing as it comes on even when i just listen to ipod or cd's. im sure iv seen a explantion of how to do it before

As I understand it that's what the switch option does. When you play CD's its off, so the aerial doesn't go up. When you play the radio its on, so it does. The only point is that its up to you to control it. AFAIAA nobody has come up with anything that does it automatically.

yep thats the one thankyou. If im correct i can just snip the remote wire coming out the back of the head unit and put the switch wires into the circuit and 'whala' i have a button to put my ariel up and down.

But it is literllay just a case of cutting the wire at the back of the headunit and using the two exposed wires behind the button to make the circuit pass throught the button. I dont need to find the end of the remote wire and find another part of the circtuit?
