Hey guys

Check it out, must be the easiest install I've ever done and the cheapest at £2.75 for an ISO adaptor.  The stock brackets/surround all fit nicely so no need to buy face plates etc..  The only slightly tricky bit was finding somewhere to put the handsfree mic.

I didn't as such, I took it out my old car which was a focus ST.  The ST just looks wrong with a single DIN as the HU sits pretty far up the dash.  Bugger to fit in an ST though I spent £60 fitting it and then had to spray up the facia myself   s:shock:  s:shock:

That's the one thing that's stopping me from buying a double-DIN. Unless it's got a removable faceplate, I think it's just waaaaay too easy for a thief to get hold of it, plus, single-DINS are cheaper  s:P :P s:P

I am thinking about replacing mine with a double din, purely because I like the look of them. My standard pre facelift HU has a facia plate that fits over it and looks like 2 drawer thingies, It has a little protruding thing that fits into the tape slot, but if I cut that off it would still stay there without as it fits around the edge of the facia so that is what I will be using if I replace mine and keep the standard surround..

To be honest, if I hadn't already had the double din off my old car, I'd have gone single DIN.  It does worry me people see them and thing its a double din so its expensive I'll nick it.  Given how well they bolt into the MR2 the thief would probably make a right mess of the dash ripping it out   s:( :( s:(   Ironically my double din wasn't much more than a decent single DIN.
