It's the wife's birthday soon and am thinking of getting her the 'banana' spoiler   s:D :D s:D  

The problem is with the '2' coming up for 7 years old and the spoiler being painted 'new' how much difference in paint discolouration will there be between the spoiler and the car ?

I appreciate there are many factors involved but would like to gauge opinion from those members who have added painted mods to their cars years after their cars were 'factory' fresh

I don't think the colour has faded much since when I bought it 4 years ago - cleaned and garaged etc. Certainly a lot less than the black SRi I used to have.

Any decent body shop I would think could match the colour. Might not be exact but should be close enough that only you could tell.

Id agree get some mixed up, they used the hardtop cover to match the paint exactly and in came out perfect no difference in tone at all. Mine is silver so not as prone to fading but they should match the colour so wont be noticeable.
